1. Information we collect

We collect information needed to operate TalkPilot, including account identifiers such as a user ID, subscription status, app diagnostics, device and usage metadata, and content you choose to submit through speech, text, or support requests.

2. Microphone permission and voice data

TalkPilot requests microphone permission so you can join live speaking sessions. When you actively use those features, we may process spoken audio to perform speech recognition, translation, voice playback, and related AI assistance. The app presents an in-app consent notice before these features start sending data for processing. If microphone permission is denied, those features will not work.

3. Text, transcripts, and conversation content

Your speech may be converted into text, translated, summarized, reviewed, or used to generate reply suggestions. We may process or store transcripts, generated suggestions, review output, and session records when needed to deliver real-time features, provide conversation history, sync your account, investigate problems, enforce our terms, or support customer requests. Depending on the feature route in use, this processing may involve Deepgram, Cerebras, Together AI, Google Cloud Translation, and Supabase-hosted backend services.

4. How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, provide speech recognition, translation, AI assistance, restore purchases, maintain security, provide customer support, monitor service quality, and improve reliability.

5. Analytics and diagnostics

We may collect app analytics and operational diagnostics, such as app version, runtime version, feature state, and error metadata, to understand product usage and improve stability. By default, we do not include raw private conversation text in our analytics events unless a future feature clearly says otherwise.

6. Service providers

We may use service providers to help run the app, such as the App Store for billing, RevenueCat for subscription management, Supabase and related backend infrastructure, analytics providers, Deepgram for speech recognition, Cerebras and Together AI for AI-generated suggestions and review, and Google Cloud Translation when that translation route is enabled. These providers process content only as needed to deliver the feature you requested.

7. Model training

Unless we clearly disclose otherwise and obtain any required consent, we do not use your private conversation content to train our own foundation models. If this practice changes for any feature, we will update this policy and the relevant product notice before applying that change.

8. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the service. Different categories of data may be kept for different periods depending on their purpose.

9. Your choices and deletion requests

You can manage subscriptions in your App Store account settings. You can also delete your TalkPilot account in-app at Settings > Account > Delete Account, or request access, correction, or other privacy support by emailing lihao15510558202@gmail.com. We may need additional information to verify your request before we act on it.
